International Student Community Ambassador (ISCA)

Home Country: India
GW School / Program: GSEHD, MA in Rehabilitation Counseling

Unnati is a graduate student at GW, passionate about pursuing a career in mental health counseling. Her background in psychology has equipped her with the tools to connect with people from all walks of life, allowing her to understand and appreciate diverse cultures and perspectives. Having firsthand experience with the highs and lows of adapting to a new culture, environment, and academic system, she knows what it is like to navigate this journey and is passionate about supporting others in finding their way. As an ISCA, she hopes to be a steady source of support, whether it’s in academics, career goals, or simply helping others feel at home at GW.

When Unnati first moved to the U.S, the ISO's resources were a lifeline, with ISCAs providing guidance and encouragement that helped her feel at home and find her place on campus. Now, as an ISCA herself, she is excited to give back and help others build meaningful connections, ensuring they know they are not alone as they take their first steps at GW. Beyond her academic and professional roles, Unnati enjoys long walks to museums, exploring new cuisines, and unwinding with a good psychological thriller.
