International Experience:
Hannah Butt is the ISO's Manager of International Student and Scholar Services. Hannah oversees the advising process for international students and scholars on visa regulations and helps them to maintain their status within the United States. She strives to ensure student and scholar success by directing them to appropriate resources on campus. Hannah also supports students and scholars in their efforts to maintain good academic performance and overall well-being while adjusting to GW's academic system and U.S. culture.
Hannah started her career in international education in 2021 as the International Student Counselor (DSO/ARO) at Southeast Missouri State University. In 2023, Hannah transitioned to a new role at Maryville University of Saint Louis Missouri as the PDSO managing international student success, visa regulation and compliance, orientations, workshops, and international student events and programs.
Interesting Facts:
Hannah enjoys road trips with her husband, son, and dog! She is a National Park and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys a quiet hike in the woods or a kayak trip (or "float trip" if you're from Missouri) down the river. Hannah loves to experience authentic international cuisines and welcomes any local recommendations!
