International Experience:
Anissa is an International Student and Scholar Advisor. In this role, she provides guidance on visa regulations, supports international students in maintaining their status, and connects them to resources that foster academic and personal success. Her passion for international education began after earning her undergraduate degree, when she traveled outside the United States for the first time to teach English in Madrid, Spain. That immersive experience abroad sparked a deep interest in cross-cultural exchange and the global student experience. Currently, Anissa is pursuing a master’s degree in the International Education Program at GW, where she focuses on international student mobility, intercultural engagement, and institutional support for global learners.

Interesting Facts:
Anissa is a member of the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe, whose reservation is located in Southern California where she was born. She is also an Aries, the proud member of a multicultural sorority, and enjoys playing video games in her free time.
